Thales has been selected to supply major electronic systems for air defence and the Group also supplied communication and optronic systems for the Army, the Saudi Arabia National Guards and the Air Force.

Main Tasks
  • Evaluating performance of radar and C2 equipment.
  • Performing intermediate level maintenance in his specialty as required.
  • Providing support to the MTSD (Maintenance & Technical Support Depot) engineers technicians in the field with any maintenance involving troubleshooting and repair of the radar and C2 systems to ensure the operability of the systems.
  • Diagnosis and isolates complex electronic problems between the hardware, software and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) using a variety of electronic repair and fault isolation procedures such as system diagnostics, unit self‑checks, BITE, and tools and test equipment.
  • Log‑book follow up and reporting.
  • Inspection and periodic reporting of equipment serviceability.
  • Supporting Mobile Maintenance Team (MMT) functions and travel to remote sites to perform software maintenance, troubleshooting and On the Job Training (OJT).
Qualifications
  • Senior Technician diploma in Electro‑mechanics / Electricity
  • Specialized training and certification in each area of expertise with Radars or/and C2 in general.
  • You speak English (French & Arabic are an advantage) with excellent communication and interpersonal relationship management skills.
Experience
  • Specialized knowledge and at least 3-5 years’ experience in the area of ground high power 3‑D radar sensors and associated equipment, including all system hardware and software elements.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience on Radar or/and C2 systems.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge and experience with radar and/or C2 operation & maintenance.
  • The technical knowhow should include Antennas, Processors, computers, monitoring, data transmission, plot extractors, power systems and other sub systems associated.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repair of electronic circuits by visual inspection or by use of diagnostic software or test equipment.
  • Experience in the use of test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, digital multi‑meters, power meters, and signal and pulse generators to test, tune, align, adjust, calibrate, and troubleshoot communication equipment.
  • Experience in a complex environment (multi‑cultural, multi‑disciplinary, matrix organization, customer interactions, etc).
  • Good understanding of wider CONTRACTOR support services.
