Mechanical Engineer - Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Acts as head of a Mechanical function for a business unit. Plans, controls and manages all maintenance activities, ensuring that quality and service standards are met and that targets are achieved, or exceeded, all within approved budget levels.
• Monitors daily progress of Mechanical maintenance activities.
• Finds better ways to modify or adjust the system to increase the life of running machines.
• Collects critical repeating problems from subordinates and discusses implementation of better solutions.
• Follows up critical spares directly to purchase department and suppliers.
• Prepares annual budget for mechanical maintenance department and follows the same.
• Keeps correspondence with suppliers to develop cost‑effective spares and reduce the maintenance cost.
• Prepares monthly report on maintenance activity, spares situation, downtime details, maintenance cost, etc.
• Supervises and coordinates with machine shop supervisor to develop spares in our own workshop, reducing maintenance spares cost.
• Follows preventive maintenance monitoring.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

• Overall maintenance control of tissue machine. Follow up any preventive maintenance activity, breakdown maintenance activity, and planned maintenance activity.
• Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical.
• Preferably 8 years in similar function.
• Advanced English language skills.
• Strong management and team leadership skills.
• Well-developed computer skills.
