Job Title: Manufacturing Manager – Solar Utility

Location: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Department: Operations / Manufacturing

Experience

Role Purpose

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the complete manufacturing operations related to solar trackers, mounting structures, and utility-scale solar solutions
. This role ensures high-quality production, optimal resource utilization, and compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The manager will drive operational excellence, support large-scale solar utility projects, and ensure timely delivery of components to meet project execution timelines across Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities 1. Manufacturing Operations Management
  • Lead and manage daily manufacturing activities for solar tracker components, structures, and related solar solutions.
  • Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are met for utility-scale solar projects.
  • Implement lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
2. Production Planning & Execution
  • Develop production plans based on project timelines, client schedules, and material availability.
  • Coordinate closely with procurement, engineering, and project teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Monitor and optimize resource utilization, minimizing downtime and operational bottlenecks.
3. Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with ISO, local Saudi regulations, and global solar industry standards

  • Establish and maintain quality control protocols for solar tracker and mounting structure components.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective action for quality issues.
4. Team Management & Leadership
  • Supervise and lead manufacturing supervisors, technicians, and assembly teams.
  • Conduct training programs to improve skill levels and safety awareness.
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and excellence.
5. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
  • Enforce strict compliance with HSE policies and procedures within the manufacturing facility.
  • Implement preventive safety programs and ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
6. Vendor & Supply Chain Coordination
  • Coordinate with suppliers for raw materials, components, and outsourced fabrication needs.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and ensure timely procurement to avoid production delays.
  • Work closely with logistics to ensure on-time dispatch to project sites.
7. Cost Control & Reporting
  • Manage manufacturing budgets, control operational costs, and reduce waste.
  • Prepare regular reports on production performance, forecasts, and efficiency improvements.
  • Track KPIs related to productivity, quality, safety, and equipment performance.
8. Technical Support & Engineering Interface
  • Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to support new product development.
  • Review technical drawings, BOMs, and specifications for manufacturability.
  • Ensure upgrading of equipment and technology to support future solar solutions.
Job Requirements Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • Master’s degree is an advantage.
Experience
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing for utility-scale solar projects
    , including solar trackers, structures, or PV plants.
  • Proven experience in managing large fabrication and assembly facilities.
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of solar tracker components, structures, and PV utility project requirements.
  • Expertise in production planning, lean manufacturing, and quality control methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with CNC machines, fabrication equipment, welding, and assembly lines.
  • Excellent understanding of HSE standards and compliance.
Soft Skills
  • Strong leadership and team development abilities.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Working Conditions
