Job SummaryThe carpenter is responsible for manufacturing, installing, and maintaining woodwork such as doors, windows, furniture, and wooden structures, and ensuring their quality and accuracy according to approved plans and specifications.
Responsibilities- Read and accurately execute woodworking plans and drawings.
- Cut and prepare wood and auxiliary materials to the required dimensions.
- Manufacture and install doors, windows, furniture, and wooden structures.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on woodwork as needed.
- Inspect the quality of work and ensure accurate measurements and final finishes.
- Adhere to occupational health and safety procedures during work.
- Maintain and clean tools and equipment after use.
- Cooperate with the team to ensure tasks are completed within the agreed timeframe.
- Reading blueprints and drawings
- Measurement and accuracy in work
- Using hand and power woodworking tools
- Cutting and assembling wood correctly
- Knowledge of wood types and their properties
- Sanding and finishing techniques
- Adhering to safety rules
- Focus, patience, and problem‑solving skills
