Bakery Chef De Partie

Overview

Role overview:
To function as a Bakery CDP for the Calo Kitchen and work alongside the head chef to manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing staff, aiding with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, monitoring orders and re-stocking. The successful candidate will employ their culinary skills to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers’ satisfaction.

• Experience in safe operation of commercial food equipment, including ovens, cook tops, slicers, etc
• Lead, mentor and manage bakery team
• Maintain standards for bakery storage, rotation, quality and appearance
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers
• Ensure compliance with applicable health codes and regulations
• Creating new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
• Planning, problem solving, and teamwork
• Forecasting the Bakery Requirements ahead of time
• Decorating pastries using different types of icing, toppings etc. and ensure a beautiful and exciting presentation

• Must have had previous experience as DCDP or CDP
• Must have 3-5 years of experience for the DCDP position, and 5-8 years for the CDP position within the hospitality or catering industry
• Must be a proficient communicator in English
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility experience is a plus

• Exceptional proven ability in kitchen management
• Able to divide responsibilities and monitor progress
• Outstanding communication and leadership skills
• Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes

• Strong communicator
• Pleasant personality and able to lead with empathy
