Job SummaryThe CCTV Operator is responsible for monitoring the hotel’s security cameras and surveillance systems to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and property. This role involves maintaining real-time observation of security footage, responding to incidents, and alerting security or management as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor Surveillance Systems:
Continuously monitor live video feeds from CCTV cameras throughout the hotel, including entrances, lobbies, hallways, parking lots, and other key areas. - Report Suspicious Activity:
Identify and report any suspicious behavior, incidents, or emergencies to security or hotel management. - Incident Documentation:
Record and document incidents observed on the CCTV footage for future reference or investigations. - Respond to Alerts:
React promptly to alerts or alarms from security systems (e.g., motion detectors, door sensors) and elevate situations to the appropriate personnel. - Assist in Investigations:
Assist hotel security or law enforcement in reviewing footage for incidents such as theft, vandalism, or accidents. - Maintain Equipment:
Ensure all CCTV equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs. - Support Emergency Protocols:
Be prepared to assist in the implementation of emergency protocols, such as evacuations or lockdowns, based on real-time observations. - Collaborate with Security Team:
Work closely with hotel security personnel and other departments to maintain a secure environment. - Protect Guest Privacy:
Ensure all monitoring is done in compliance with privacy regulations and hotel policies.

Strong observational skills with the ability to detect unusual behavior or potential threats. - Communication
Skills:
Clear communication skills to report incidents and collaborate with the security team or management. - Problem-Solving:
Ability to react quickly and effectively in high-pressure situations. - Knowledge of Security Protocols:
Understanding of safety procedures and emergency response practices.
- The CCTV Operator may be required to work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- The role involves sitting for extended periods and working with monitoring equipment in a control room environment.
