We are hiring an Engineering Manager who will be accountable for the design, development, and continuous improvement of an internal product, leading a team of software engineers, and ensuring high engineering quality standards and delivery of a first‑class experience for Canonical employees.

The Commercial Systems unit is formed by six engineering teams that collaborate closely with other engineering and business teams. The Business Systems team focuses on systems such as Net Suite and Salesforce, working closely with operations teams to implement business processes and maintain system compliance.

Location: Remote in the EMEA region.

• Accountability for the design and development of an internal product.
• Leading a team of software engineers.

• Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.
• Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative about your alternative chosen path.
• Track record of going above‑and‑beyond expectations to achieve outstanding results.
• Experience with software development in Salesforce, Net Suite, or other CRM/ERP system.
• Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.
• Result‑oriented, with a personal drive to meet commitments.
• Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks long.

• Experience with accounting, sales, sales operations, or other business roles.
