Overview

Hire Resolves Client is seeking for an experienced Professional Structural Engineer in the Civil Engineering environment.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for the structural design of reinforced concrete and structural steel structures and buildings according to SANS design codes.

Structural Design, Utilize advanced knowledge and skills with Prokon Design Software, PADDS or Probar 2, and AutoCAD to design and analyse various structural elements and systems.

Employ intermediate knowledge of Revit, ROBOT or Prokon Sumo, and BIM digital delivery for structural modeling and coordination.

Stay updated with industry standards and regulations to ensure designs meet safety and quality requirements.

Project Management, Collaborate with project managers and teams to deliver projects within specified timelines and budgets.

Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptualization to completion.

Contract Management, Apply intermediate understanding of contract management and contracts such as JBCC, GCC, etc.

Review and negotiate contracts, ensuring terms and conditions are favorable and align with project objectives.

Quality Assurance, Conduct thorough quality checks and reviews of structural designs and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.

Implement quality assurance processes to minimize errors and ensure deliverables meet client expectations.

Communication and Collaboration, Effectively communicate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to address design requirements, resolve issues, and ensure project objectives are met.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs with architectural and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems.

Qualifications:

or BSc Eng from a recognised university

Professional registration with ECSA

Code B driver’s license

Minimum of 5 years experience

Advanced knowledge and skill with Prokon Design Software, PADDS or Probar 2 and AutoCAD

Intermediate knowledge of Revit, ROBOT or Prokon Sumo, and BIM digital delivery

A comprehensive understanding of SANS codes and knowledge of other design codes (BS, EU/EN, American, will be an advantage.
