Technical Principal: Building Structures

Job Description

A large consulting company with branches across South Africa and internationally are looking to hire a Technical Principal:
Building Structures. This role will form a key member of the leadership team.

The position will involve professional input to a range of projects including large multidisciplinary projects. Duties include leading the division’s aspects of projects to ensure that these are technically sound. Provide specialist professional services to clients of the functional group. This includes bidding for work, participation in multi-disciplinary design/project teams and management of projects. Take stewardship of special group wide tasks assigned.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor of Engineering degree/ higher degree from an accredited university

• Minimum 20 years of practical experience in the relevant discipline

• Relevant Professional Registration

• Experience in Etabs, SAP
2000, and SAFE will be greatly advantageous.

• Post graduate qualification in Structures will be advantageous

• Knowledge of obligations under the current SMEC MS

• Sound knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA)
