About the role

As an R & D Operations Assistant at Reckitt, you will thrive in our fast-paced environment alongside a team of expert scientists dedicated to ensuring product safety and efficacy. Your meticulous attention to detail will be crucial in supporting technical dossier management and analytical lab compliance.

Your responsibilities

• Assume leadership for low-risk R&D projects in relevant category, ensuring the implementation at regional/local level by ensuring all required formulation, feasibility work, analysis, validation, stability testing, industrial trials and dossier preparation are performed on time and to the required internal and external standards and market conditions

• Maintain good communication with Marketing, Supply, R&D Categories, and other functions to accomplish objectives

• Knowledgeable with basic laboratory techniques for working at the bench

• Understand the Product Development Process as it pertains to R&D functions

• Read, understand, and apply SOP/ ISO/ GLP protocols with regards to:
o Data generation for Product Registration where applicable
o Proper operation, standardization & maintenance of lab equipment
o Maintaining accurate laboratory notebooks
o Following the Safety and Good Housekeeping requirements

• Conduct performance and analysis evaluations of competitive products

• Able to manage implementation of NPDs/EPDs under the supervision of associate or manager

• Ensure that the Project development elements are carried out for each project, in collaboration with other R&D groups
and relevant stakeholders

• Support cost-saving initiatives

• Support to Supply for Manufacturing, Procurement or Packaging projects

• Provide a clear definition of products, marketing claims, and raw materials requirements from the regional/local perspective.

• Providing technical input and support in the preparation of the claim support data for the clearance of commercial labels in association with R&D categories.

• Provide technical support to QA, QC to deal with local consumer complaints.

• Work with manufacturing to qualify process scale up

Key Performance Indicators:

• Realisation of projects in full and on time

• Effective resolution of day-to-day issues

• Others to be determined in line with PDR (Personal Development Review) objectives.

The experience we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree equivalent to the region in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or other relevant science.

• One to two years’ experience in a FMCG company desirable

Project Management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills desirable

• Good formulation knowledge and understanding of chemical interactions
