Field Service Engineer; Solar - Congo; DRC

Introduction

We are looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our utility-scale PV and BESS service team in DRC. You will provide technical support, troubleshooting, and commissioning services for solar and battery storage projects across the region. Frequent travel to remote sites is required.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Commission PV inverters, BESS systems, and PCS equipment on-site and remotely.

• Troubleshoot and provide technical support for solar inverters and energy storage systems.

• Lead or assist in engineering projects to optimize system performance.

• Coordinate with technical teams for guidance as required.

• Produce timely service reports for clients and supervisors.

• Monitor, maintain, and manage electrical equipment and materials.

• Participate in ongoing technical training.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

• 2–3 years’ experience in PV or BESS systems; utility-scale experience preferred.

• Strong electrical knowledge and proficiency with test equipment and hand tools.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

• Effective English communication;
  French is an advantage.

• Willingness to travel frequently to remote sites in Africa.

• Knowledge of Electrical Safety practices and Microsoft Office.

• Professional registration or relevant renewable energy certifications is a plus.
