Overview
We are seeking a proactive and organised IT Support Coordinator to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling ticket allocations, managing call follow-ups with clients, and coordinating feedback / actions required from engineers.
The role requires excellent communication skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Allocate and manage IT support tickets efficiently while monitoring ticket queues.
- Follow up with clients via telephone and email to provide updates on support cases.
- Coordinate and communicate feedback / actions required from engineers to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Escalate issues according to SLA requirements and business priorities.
- Maintain accurate records of all support activities, interactions, and resolutions.
- Assist with scheduling engineer site visits and coordinating logistics.
- Provide basic troubleshooting and first-line technical assistance when required.
- Support the onboarding of new clients and users, including account setup and access management.
- Maintain and update the internal knowledge base and support documentation.
- Identify recurring technical issues and suggest process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, security standards, and data protection regulations.
- Level 1 IT qualification, IT diploma, or relevant certifications.
- Industry certifications such as A+, N+, MCSA, MCSE, CCENT, CCNA, or similar (advantageous).
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in an IT support role.
- Experience using helpdesk / ticketing systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft , networking basics, and remote support tools.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle challenging client interactions professionally.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving IT systems.
- Own transport is essential as the role is based in Johannesburg.
Salary: R - R depending on level of experience.
