Overview

Hire Resolve is currently representing a reputable manufacturing company based in Johannesburg who is in search of a skilled Maintenance Foreman to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
  • Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Perform regular inspections and equipment audits to identify maintenance needs and address them in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment records, and inventory management.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and maximize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment, and order as needed.
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

    • Requirements:

  • Trade qualification in a relevant field (. Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation).
  • Proven experience working as a Maintenance Foreman or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in maintenance management software.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergencies.
