Senior Accountant
Location:
Johnston, RI | Hybrid (3 Days Onsite)
Salary: $80,000–$95,000

- Own the full month-end close process, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Manage accounting and financial oversight for a portfolio of programs supported by multiple funding sources.
- Analyze financial performance, investigate variances, and provide valuable insights to finance and program leadership.
- Ensure accurate accounting and compliance across grants, government contracts, Medicaid, insurance reimbursements, and other revenue streams.
- Support annual audits, financial reporting initiatives, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong nonprofit accounting experience, including exposure to grants, contracts, or multiple funding streams.
- Hands-on experience with full-cycle month-end close, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Ability to independently manage multiple programs, prioritize deadlines, and collaborate with operational leadership.
- Experience with nonprofit ERP systems, healthcare reimbursement, payroll, or audit support is a strong plus.
