    Position Overview
    :
    The role of the Junior IT Specialist will encompass all aspects of IT service and delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for IT service provisioning (i.e. add/delete users, change of access, password resets, mailbox quota management);
  • Microsoft server and cloud administration (Exchange Online, Teams, Sharepoint Online, Entra , File/Print)
  • Mobile device provisioning and troubleshooting using Microsoft Intune
  • Review and action security center alerts and recommendations;
  • Analyze and review helpdesk performance;
  • Mobile and laptop device provisioning and troubleshooting using Microsoft Intune
  • Manage and own small to moderate projects;
  • Core Infrastructure maintenance;
  • Work with other departments and vendors on IT related projects.
  • Respond to tickets in the helpdesk system and general end user support
  • Deploying desktop computers
  • Qualifications

  • University or College degree/diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology or related experience;
  • A minimum of 2 years in IT operations;
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Product Suite including Entra , Exchange Online, Sharepoint, Teams and Office Products.
  • Strong Communication and Documentation skills
  • Enthusiastic and proactive
  • Preference would be given to candidates with:

  • Previous experience managing a Tier 1 and 2 helpdesk system
  • Previous Project Management Knowledge
  • Previous knowledge of Microsoft Intune
  • Ability to problem solve and handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively;
  • Experience working with end users;
  • Flexibility and “can-do” attitude;
  • Trouble-shooting ability;
  • Mining experience.
  • Other Requirements

    Candidates will be required to participate in a comprehensive qualification process, including:

  • Successful completion of pre-placement functional screen
  • Provide proof of a valid Class 5/7N driver’s license
  • Demonstrate eligibility to work in Canada
  • Provide confirmation of valid educational requirements
  • Compensation

    The anticipated salary for this position is between $62,000 and $72,000. A competitive salary, performance bonus plan and benefits will be provided. This is not a camp operation and therefore the successful candidate will be required to relocate to the Kamloops area or travel and accommodation will be the responsibility of the successful applicant.
