Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, Mill Operations, the Mill Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading a crew of Mill Operators during their assigned shift in the safe and efficient operation of the Mill. This includes the potential to oversee grinding, flotation, leaching, filtering, crushing, conveying, and/or concentrate handling processes to meet shift targets for safety, productivity, and cost effectiveness.
- Act as a courageous safety leader by strictly adhering to and sponsoring all safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Safely operate the mill processes to achieve shift targets for tonnage, recovery, crusher throughput, mill throughput, sand production, and cost control while contributing to the overall production plan for copper and molybdenum
- Execute planned activities for the shift crew to support improvements in safety standards and maximize safe, cost‑effective production
- Monitor operating conditions, review shift results, and make timely adjustments to improve plant performance and output
- Support the professional development and training of crew members through coaching, feedback, and on‑the‑job guidance
- Contribute to cost efficiency by effectively managing personnel, equipment, and consumables on shift, and identifying opportunities for cost savings
- Collaborate with other shifts, departments, and support teams to ensure consistent ore throughput, grades, recoveries, and product quality
- Foster a high‑performance culture on shift through clear communication, appropriate delegation, coaching, and performance management
- Administer the collective agreement, safety, and mine and environmental regulations fairly and consistently in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Conduct regular worksite inspections and safe work observations to identify and correct substandard conditions or behaviors
- Minimum 3‑5 years of progressive leadership or supervisory experience in a processing plant, preferably in a unionized mining environment
- Hands‑on experience in base metal concentrator operations (grinding, flotation, crushing, etc.)
- Post‑secondary education in a related technical field (e.g., Mineral Processing, Metallurgy, or Engineering) considered an asset
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive working relationships
- Strong critical thinking skills, including sound judgment and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to perform well in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills

Salary Range: CAD $106,000 - $131,000 per year
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
