North Hills Care Centre is hiring a Term Specific Full Time Nurse Practitioner. This clinic provides healthcare for individuals and families in a community-based family practice setting. Patients can receive care from their primary care provider—either a family doctor or a nurse practitioner—and their teams. Services include general checkups, chronic disease management, reproductive and sexual health, disease prevention, mental health and wellness, and children’s health.

Care is available to patients who are attached to a family doctor or nurse practitioner at the clinic.

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 08:00 – 18:00
• Clinic hours: 08:00 – 16:00
• This is a term position until May 2026 or return of incumbent

Salary Range:
Salary range for the position is $74.74/hour - $82.21/hour. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant.

• Diagnose and treat undifferentiated diseases and conditions, provide treatment, and prescribe medications in line with the Nurse Practitioner’s scope of practice and regulatory standards.
• Monitor ongoing care, order diagnostic investigations, interpret results, and develop tailored treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes.
• Establish care priorities, provide follow‑up treatment, and communicate effectively with patients and families about diagnoses, care plans, and prognoses.
• Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans. May also admit and discharge patients as per organizational policies.
• Prescribe medications within legal and regulatory guidelines, ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical treatments.
• Lead and guide other nursing and healthcare personnel. Provide education, supervision, and performance evaluations to support professional development.
