This role provides comprehensive primary health care to individuals and families within a community-based family practice clinic. The Nurse Practitioner works in collaboration with other Nurse Practitioners, family physicians, and an interdisciplinary care team to deliver longitudinal, patient-centred care to an established patient panel.
Care includes health promotion and disease prevention, comprehensive health assessments, chronic disease management, reproductive and sexual health services, mental health and wellness support, and pediatric care across the lifespan. Services are provided to patients formally attached to a primary care provider—either a family physician or a nurse practitioner—within the clinic.
Successful candidates must meet all privileging and credentialing requirements to practice within the clinical setting.

Salary range for the position is $74.74/hour - $82.21/hour. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant.

Key Responsibilities:
Diagnosis and Treatment:
Assess and diagnose undifferentiated diseases and conditions, provide treatment, and prescribe medications in line with the Nurse Practitioner’s scope of practice and regulatory standards.
Care Management:
Monitor ongoing care, order diagnostic investigations, interpret results, and develop tailored treatment plans to optimize patient outcomes.
Patient Communication:
Establish care priorities, provide follow-up treatment, and communicate effectively with patients and families about diagnoses, care plans, and prognoses.
Collaboration and Consultation:
Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans. May also admit and discharge patients as per organizational policies.
Prescribing Medication:
Prescribe medications within legal and regulatory guidelines, ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical treatments.
