Infrastructure Sub‑Sector Lead (Western Canada)

Responsibilities- Lead infrastructure sector strategy and growth in Western Canada, with focus on British Columbia.
- Develop business expansion plans leveraging SLR’s current client base and your own network.
- Coordinate client needs with SLR service offerings, aligning business growth and client value.
- Support key proposals and contribute to service line, business sector, and client development plans.
- Identify industry trends, create long‑term strategies, and position SLR with key clients for sustainable growth.
- Establish and coach client management teams for target clients.
- Partner with Technical Disciplines to identify skills gaps, mentor, recruit, and build technical talent.
- Champion an integrated services approach, driving growth opportunities for the full suite of SLR services.
- Develop strategic partnerships and maintain relationships with industry leaders and stakeholders.
- Act as primary contact on key client issues, providing perspective and feedback to delivery teams.
- Generate client satisfaction and sector growth strategies, staying informed on industry trends and market issues.
- Lead teams and facilitate program and project delivery, ensuring health & safety, scope, schedule, budget, QA/QC, and client satisfaction.
- Lead western Canada infrastructure strategy, expanding services and enhancing marketplace presence.
- Support key proposals and develop service line and client business development plans.
- Create long‑term strategy positioning SLR with key clients and market portions.
- Manage target client teams, helping them grow and build client management skills.
- Identify skill gaps, mentor, and recruit technical talent to fulfill growth plan.
- Drive growth opportunities for the full suite of SLR services.
- Develop partnerships and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Survey client needs, understanding project objectives, scope, and desired outcomes.
- Provide client satisfaction and growth strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and provide relevant analyses and recommendations.
- Lead program and project delivery teams, ensuring quality and client satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geoscience, or related discipline;
Master’s degree preferred. - 15+ years as an environmental consultant in the environmental services and infrastructure sector.
- Deep knowledge of the infrastructure sector with a significant client network.
- Experience building and implementing business growth strategies and managing multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Broad technical knowledge across disciplines such as ecology, acoustics/vibration, air quality, construction monitoring, stakeholder engagement, climate resiliency, contaminated sites, environmental permitting, and safety.
- Working knowledge of federal, provincial, municipal, and industry regulations.
- Willingness to travel as needed for leadership events, conferences, and client meetings.
- Competitive total compensation package, including comprehensive benefits, vacation, and wellness initiatives.
- Salary range: $130,000 – $160,000 (commensurate with experience).
