Store Leader; Manager Trainee

Overview

Store Leader Trainee Canada role at 7-Eleven. The Store Leader is the heart and soul of the store. A Store Leader with an Assistant or two makes up the store’s leadership team executing merchandising and marketing initiatives, driving profitability, developing the skills of the entire store team, and ensuring customers are well taken care of. We’re hiring immediately and welcome candidates with previous supervisory experience who enjoy working as part of a management team.

• Ability to oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees.
• Desire to maintain high retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
• Ability to oversee and implement merchandising and marketing programs.
• Demonstrated ability to use P&L and store reports to affect change.
• Experience managing cash handling, fuel transactions, and promoting a rewards loyalty program.
• Commitment to a clean, safe store environment by complying with health and sanitation procedures; in-stock product management.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel or equivalent).
• High School diploma or GED is preferred; at least one year of retail management experience may suffice.
• Valid Driver’s License with automotive liability insurance during employment (as applicable).
• Ability to multi-task, perform repetitive motions, stand for extended periods, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
