Oak View Group invites you to apply for the Parking Supervisor role at the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton, BC. The position is part‑time and will work primarily during most ticketed events.

The Parking Supervisor is responsible for supervising parking volunteers during events, ensuring the protection and safeguarding of guests, employees, and volunteers. The role requires physical activity such as standing, walking, and climbing stairs, and aims to provide a positive first impression for all attendees.

This role pays an hourly rate of $19.00‑$23.00 CAD.

Part‑time benefits: pension matching.

• Control and monitor entry to the parking lots.
• Provide guests with a positive first impression.
• Provide direction and supervision to a changing team of 8+ volunteers.
• Monitor parking lots for safety and security of guests, employees, and vehicles.
• Provide guests with directions and other venue information.
• Direct guests and employees to available parking spaces.
• Maximize the number of vehicles per lot.
• Respond to all comments/complaints promptly, courteously, and professionally.
• Handle cash securely.
• Maintain a neat and clean appearance during all scheduled shifts.

• Prior parking experience strongly preferred.
• Customer service, cash handling, and point‑of‑sale abilities are a must.
• Polite, friendly, and possessing excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi‑task.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Flexibility to work various hours, including nights and weekends.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and walk long distances.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat and weather conditions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to organize and direct a small group of volunteers.
• Ability to lift a maximum of 25 pounds.
• Ability to visually observe parking lots.
