Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Civil Engineer specializing in bridge design to leadplex infrastructure projects and contribute to the growth of our client's structural team. This role is ideal for a senior-level professional with strong leadership skills, a collaborative mindset, and deep expertise in bridge engineering and construction.
About the Opportunity:Our client is a well-established engineering consulting firm specializing inmercial and industrial projects. They are currently seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join their team and contribute to the design and delivery ofplexmercial developments.

This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects involving heavy industrial structures, equipment foundations, and seismic design.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform structural analysis and design formercial buildings using steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.

Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.

Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.

Conduct site inspections and assessments to support construction and ensurepliance with design intent and codes.

Review and approve shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders.

Ensure designs meet applicable building codes, standards, and client requirements.

Participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Support junior engineers and drafters with technical oversight and mentorship.

Your Profile:

Registered, or eligible to register, as a P. Eng. In BC

6+ years of relevant experience in construction engineering or heavy industrial structural design, preferably within a consulting environment.

Experience with:
Heavy equipment foundations, dynamic analysis, seismic design, national building codes and standards

Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP
2000, STAAD. Pro, Revit, AutoCAD).

Excellentmunication skills (interpersonal and written).

Proven ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Strong technicalpetence and attention to detail.

Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
