The Edge Traffic Engineering Team owns key routing and networking infrastructure to support our core product. As Engineering Manager, you will lead a group of highly technical software and infrastructure engineers to build resilient edge infrastructure, making the system more performant and reliable for our customers and internal teams.

What You’ll Do

Lead Edge Traffic Infrastructure teams, ensuring the networking architecture evolves and remains resilient to growing demand.

Define and deliver a vision, strategy, and roadmap on a year‑long time scale for ingress and egress points, tying the roadmap back to business impact.

Collaborate across infrastructure, security and other engineering teams to build reliable, secure and scalable networking infrastructure for external partners and internal teams.

Improve key metrics for availability, performance and resiliency.

Own team operations and availability by ensuring the right monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, testing and alerting support “keep the lights on” & on‑call efforts.

Set code review and design standards for the team and advocate for quality and ownership across the organization through technical talks and written documentation.

Help develop talent by providing feedback, guidance and leading by example.

What We Look For

7+ years engineering experience with 2+ years leading infrastructure, networking, compute or distributed systems teams.

Proven track record in stakeholder management, ownership, and successful delivery.

Expertise in managing large‑scale, geographically distributed cloud infrastructure centered on compute, networking or databases.

Expertise in scaling networking infrastructure like CDN, load balancers or API Gateways; familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure and vendors such as Cloudflare, Fastly or Akamai.

Experience delivering major features, system components or deprecating existing functionality through a technical and execution plan; writes high‑quality code that is easily understood and used by others.

Thrive in ambiguity and comfortable moving from low‑level language idioms to the architecture of large systems.

Demonstrated growth and impact trajectory mastering gathering and iterating on feedback from engineering and cross‑functional peers.

Strong verbal and written communication skills supporting effective collaboration with a global engineering team.

Compensation
Pay Grade 9 | Equity Grade 7 | Base pay range $178,000 − $228,000 per year. Total compensation package may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits such as 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for employees and dependents.
