** The Opportunity!
** As a
** Commercial Insurance Associate**, you will apply your superior attention to detail and excellent client service skills while working closely with a team of Producers and Marketers on our Commercial accounts. You will help build long-term relationships with our clients with helping to answer client inquires and requests through policy and coverage insurers.
** A day in the life
- *** Assist producer and marketer with all aspects of servicing commercial accounts
* Meet existing clients’ needs and process documentation (Certificates of Insurance, Cover Notes, Renewals, Proposals, Endorsements, In-House Policies, Invoicing, Finance Contracts, Customer Correspondence)
* Review and ensure accuracy of policy documentation from insurers before forwarding to the client
* Contact clients for renewal information
* Take client calls and answer questions regarding coverages, accept and process online quotes
* Negotiate with insurers on coverage and price so as to best meet the needs of the client in conjunction with the producer
* Update client information as changes occur
* Answer account related questions/requests from clients, lawyers, and banks
* Provide policy and coverage information to clients upon request or inquiry
* Will be assigned some minimal, but regular duties to help support the floater position
** What you will bring to our team
- *** Level 2 Insurance License or willingness to obtain
* Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency
* Motivated to help support a diverse team and contribute in a team environment
* Minimum of one year commercial insurance experience as an Insurance Advisor
* Pro-active and a self-starter with a keen attention to detail
* Strong customer service focus with the ability to deliver positive client experiences and meet their desired needs
* Demonstrated ability to communicate (written and verbal), present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
* Works well in a fast paced, client-focused environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Industry designation an asset (CIP, CAIB, CRM, General Insurance & Risk Management Diploma – BCIT)
** Salary Expectations –
** The expected salary range for this position is $50,000.00 to $75,000.00 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
