We are implementing minimum Nurse-to-Patient Ratios (mNPRs) in BC to improve staffing and care quality. Interior Health is part of this transformative staffing initiative.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Performs assessments, plans, implements, and provides personal and nursing care to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. The scope of skills varies according to the predictability of outcomes for the client population.
• Administers oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications following policies and procedures.
• Operates within the full scope of practice outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), adhering to organizational policies, standards, and protocols.

This is a casual opportunity. Casual employees are not guaranteed hours and may work from 0 to 37.5 hours per week as needed.

Shifts are scheduled days and nights, rotating from 08:00 to 20:00 and 20:00 to 08:00 hours.

Boundary Hospital is a busy level 1 community hospital serving approximately 12,000 residents. It offers medical, long-term care, and emergency services, with many community health programs co-located at the facility, fostering a collaborative environment.

Grand Forks is a vibrant community of around 4,000 residents, located within a few hours of Spokane and Kelowna. Surrounded by the Granby and Kettle Rivers, it offers a high quality of life, recreational activities, and cultural diversity.
