CAM Programmer - 6 Month Contract

The Role
We're looking for a practical, technically minded CAM Programmer to join a busy manufacturing team on a 6-month contract. Full training is provided, so if you've got a mechanical mindset, are comfortable with computers, and want to develop specialist programming skills, this is a strong opportunity.

What You'll Work On
You'll be trained to program and support a range of automated equipment, including robotic welding, CNC tube bending, CNC routing/drilling machines, automated glueing systems, wall saws, and laminate presses.

What You'll Be Doing

• Creating and improving CAM programs from drawings and 3D models
• Testing and validating new or updated programs
• Supporting production and troubleshooting issues
• Working closely with engineering and shopfloor teams
• Keeping programs and documentation up to date

What We're Looking For

• Good mechanical understanding and interest in automation
• Basic IT skills and willingness to learn CAM software
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Manufacturing, CNC, or CAD/CAM experience is a bonus, not essential

Training Provided
You'll receive hands-on training in CAM software, robot programming, CNC setup, and safety best practice.
