Location:
Hythe, Kent

Salary: £24,750 £ 25,350 + quarterly bonus (negotiable dependent on experience)

Hours:
Monday to Friday 8am-5pm with a 1pm finish on Fridays!

Pearson Whiffin Recruitment is working with a long-established precision manufacturing business operating within a busy, quality-critical production environment. This organisation places a strong emphasis on accuracy, organisation and teamwork to ensure manufacturing operations run smoothly.

This role would suit a proactive Stock Controller or Goods In Operative who enjoys hands-on work, maintaining accurate records and supporting production teams by ensuring materials and components are received, stored and distributed efficiently.

The Role
  • Receive, check and accurately record incoming goods, consumables and subcontracted items
  • Distribute purchased items efficiently to production and engineering departments
  • Maintain accurate stock levels for work-in-progress and bought-in components
  • Support production teams by ensuring stock records remain accurate and up to date
  • Assist with the despatch of finished goods as required
  • Provide cover for raw material stores during holiday periods
  • Maintain a tidy, organised and safe environment
About You
  • Previous experience within a stores, goods-in or stock control role in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong organisational skills with a methodical and accurate approach to work
  • Comfortable using computer-based stock control systems
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Clear communicator who works well as part of a team
  • Forklift or side-loader experience beneficial, though training can be provided
