Senior Carer

Duties

• Providing high-quality personal care and support to residents
• Leading by example and supervising care staff on shift
• Writing and updating care plans and risk assessments
• Liaising with healthcare professionals and family members
• Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, including behaviour management strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress.
• Support residents with dementia care, ensuring a safe environment

• Experience in nursing home or similar care environments is highly desirable.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards)
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
• A caring, patient and respectful approach to others
• Capability to develop and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

A full enhanced disclosure must be provided, the cost of this will be met by the employee. The shifts are worked across 12 hours, days/nights including a share of weekends however we are happy to discuss hours and working patterns with the ideal candidate.
