We are looking for a motivated Design Engineer to join a dynamic company in the special purpose machinery sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with some experience in designing machinery from scratch to grow and develop their skills while contributing to exciting engineering projects. You'll work closely with senior engineers and gain hands-on experience in full machinery design.

Responsibilities:

* Assist in designing machinery to meet client specifications and requirements.

* Produce detailed assembly and component drawings under the guidance of senior engineers.

* Contribute to R&D activities and innovation in design.

* Support the design process by conducting basic design calculations.

* Collaborate with external engineers, including controls and software teams.

* Provide technical expertise to support the sales team.

* Engage with customers to understand design requirements and offer solutions.

* Ensure designs are delivered on time and within budget.

* Work with the production team and suppliers to ensure designs meet quality and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

* A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), or relevant experience in machinery design.

* Experience in designing special purpose machinery, with a good understanding of the full machinery design process.

* Proficiency in 3D CAD (Solid Works preferred).

* Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to work independently while maintaining high attention to detail.

* Familiarity with MRP systems and Microsoft Project (preferred but not essential).

* Ability to travel as required (International driving license and passport are desirable but not essential).
