Contract/Operations Team Leader

Kettering – plus national travel on occasion

Salary – circa £30-35k

Are you looking for a role where you can lead projects, work with a talented team, and make a real impact? Our Kettering-based client is seeking a proactive and adaptable Team Leader to join their growing operations team.

About the Role

As a Team Leader, you will manage projects and teams across multiple sites, ensuring operations run smoothly. The role combines office-based coordination with hands‑on support on the ground. While prior experience is helpful, the key qualities are a positive attitude, technical aptitude, and a willingness to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Oversee daily activities of staff and contractors, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, resolving issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to standard.
  • Monitor progress and provide updates to management.
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities and documentation.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members as needed.
  • Be flexible and willing to engage in operational, hands‑on tasks to support the team.
What We're Looking For
  • A proactive, can‑do attitude with strong technical aptitude.
  • Some relevant experience is helpful but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office or similar project management tools.
  • Full UK driving licence.
