37hrs per week, 6.30am - 4.30pm 9.25hrs per day with 45mins break Great Overtime rates paid over 37hrs at x1.5 rate for Mondays/Saturdays and x2 rate for Sundays/Bank Holidays. Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of North Northamptonshire Council for 7.5 Tonne Food Pod Driver to temporarily join their busy team within Waste services. As 7.5t Food Pod Driver you will be:
Driving and operating a Food Pod vehicle on set routes Working as part of a crew to complete daily waste and recycling collections Ensuring safe and efficient operation of the vehicle at all times Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects Supporting with loading/emptying food pods as well If you are a HGV driver, you could be required to work across the whole service, but 7.5 Tonne is fine.

You will ensure and promote great operational relationships between the service and members of the public in liaison with the refuse crew and ensure compliance at all times with appropriate Health and Safety at Work legislation, taking responsibility for your own Health and Safety and that of your colleagues and members of the public. We are looking for ASAP start with interviews being held face to face with a short driving test.
