Please note:

This role requires DV clearance. Candidates must be UK citizens with at least 10 years of UK work history. Clearance can take up to 12 months to complete before employment can begin.

Join our dedicated security team in Bristol, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining site integrity, protecting assets, and ensuring a safe environment for staff and visitors. This is a shift-based role, and successful candidates may occasionally be required to support operations at our Gloucester site (transport provided or costs reimbursed).

• Control access to the site, permitting only authorised personnel.
• Monitor site activity using Access Control Systems and CCTV.
• Conduct internal and external patrols to ensure site security.
• Perform daily checks on alarm systems and respond to alerts.
• Escalate issues to the MDL Service Desk as needed.
• Carry out random entry and exit searches.
• Detect and deter unauthorised access, vandalism, or suspicious activity.
• Handle suspect packages in line with agreed procedures.
• Provide cover for colleagues and support team flexibility.
• Undertake ad-hoc tasks as directed by line management.

• Previous experience in a security role is helpful but not essential.
• Hold a valid SIA Licence and be CCTV trained.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• IT literate and comfortable using security systems and reporting tools.
• Flexible and reliable, with a proactive attitude to team support.
