What Impact You'll Make

Within the Substation Automation Product Line (SA PL) of Grid Automation (GA), the Integration and Testing Engineering team provides support to GA regional units (MENAT and more specifically Saudi Arabia): product and solution delivery to regions, training of project engineering teams in the regions, helpdesk for support, bug fix and customer evolutions.

What You'll Do

• Support to regional teams during projects life from Tender phase to the end of the warranty. The support consists in providing documentations, giving advises and Best Practices during Configuration phase, resolving issues during internal validation and commissioning at site.
• Support to the customers during their projects execution. The support consists in providing documentations, immediate containment and driving closure, writing technical reports, failure and root cause analysis
• Be ready to travel in case of troubleshooting at site to realize a local support to regional teams, investigate on issues and take traces and report your final issue analysis. Lead of task‑forces on strategic projects.
• Maintain a qualification platform in factory. Update the platform according to issues to be reproduce or tests to be done on new R&D releases. Inform in case of new equipment needed.
• Give tables of compliance for Systems. Advise the regional teams on the use of the best system version on the project. Keep them aware of the Best practice to use the latest available version.
• Manage the training preparation such as training slides, training platform setup and training agenda. Give trainings to regional team or R&D according to the training plan. Be ready to travel to give training locally in the SDSU or to the customers. Update training presentations regularly according to the new Products/System evolutions.
• Coaching and expertise development of the regional teams so that they can deliver innovative projects fitting with customer expectations.
• Site investigations, lead of task‑forces on strategic projects.
• He/she is in contact with Grid Automation management teams, R&D, Applications et the technical experts in the regions for applications, sales, and project delivery.

His/her missions cover the complete SA portfolio of products and solutions:

• RTU plate forms iBox, D20, D25, D400, G500, Distributed and digital control system DS Agile, including C264 BCU, aView HMI, ethernet switches, …
• Engineering and maintenance tools, Cyber Security solutions and services
• Applications of electrical network management.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college and/or equivalent knowledge/experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 experience of leading technical project execution in grid automation portfolios
• Willingness and ability to travel 25% to 50% of the time. English (written/spoken) mandatory for the position.
• Strong experience with computer technology, protection and control system design, validation, commissioning, cyber security, communication protocols as IEC
  61850, IEC 103, Modbus, DNP
  3.0, TCP/IP, Ethernet

• Good knowledge of Power System and Substation Control & Protection Applications for Transmission, Generation and Industry segments

• Familiarity with product Quality metrics, MTBF, FMEA/HAZOP, cybersecurity and functional safety. /fast works awareness is preferred
• Be able to work autonomously and to make reporting to management
• Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously within stringent time constraints, requires discretion and independent judgment, and the ability to maintain a good working relationship with all co-workers, stakeholders and clients
• Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills, customer focused, enthusiastic
