The Principal Geophysicist is an experienced geoscientist responsible for applying geophysics across various jurisdictions, scales, and commodities. This role involves contributing subject matter expertise to global exploration activities, evaluating new opportunities, and supporting existing Maaden projects.
The ideal candidate is a multifaceted exploration professional with strong technical skills in applied geophysics, a solid geological background, and broad experience from near-mine to continental scales across different deposit types and commodities. Leadership skills, a proven track record of discovery, and the ability to collaborate across teams are essential. Developing and mentoring early-career geoscience professionals is also a key component of this role.
Responsibilities include working through all Maaden exploration camps, mentoring field geologists, and contributing to exploration activities.
Key Qualifications and Experience- Broad exploration experience in at least two different terrains and significant knowledge of at least three commodities, with understanding of an additional two or international recognition in a single commodity or exploration process.
