About the Company
NMDC Dredging & Marine was established in 1976 as a dredging division of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). An “emiri” decision was taken to form an autonomous dredging company reporting to its own Board of Directors. NMDC Dredging & Marine was thus founded and commenced trading in 1979. We are a National Company in Abu Dhabi the capital of U.A.E, registered as a public company trading in the Abu Dhabi stock exchange, with a registered paid up capital value of AED (U.A.E Dirhams Two Hundred Fifty Million Only).
The Government of Abu Dhabi owns 32% of the company, Abu Dhabi United Group for Development and Investment owns 20%, Al Khazna Insurance Co. owns 7.11%, and the public shareholding is 40.89%. (Public shareholders consist of U.A.E citizens and foreigners; with maximum threshold of 5% reserved for foreigners).
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance across categories
- Evaluate supplier performance periodically and drive continuous improvement plans where required
- Ensure full compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and audit requirements
- Support contract drafting, review, and administration in coordination with the Legal and relevant technical teams
- Identify procurement risks and propose mitigation strategies for high‑value or critical purchases
- Prepare bidders’ lists from the vendor management system and/or in coordination with relevant departments
- Perform due diligence for the prequalification of new vendors
- Liaise with end users to define or refine the required scope and prepare RFQ/RFP documents
- Provide market intelligence to end users and other departments regarding product/service availability and pricing trends
- Lead the preparation of tender documents and manage the complete bidding process for service providers, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with technical requirements
- Lead commercial and technical evaluations of offers, and conduct negotiations with shortlisted bidders
- Prepare comprehensive technical and commercial evaluation reports and develop recommendation reports in coordination with the relevant department
- Expedite deliveries after PO placement and ensure timely fulfilment of procurement commitments
- Monitor order execution; coordinate with QHSE or relevant departments and escalate issues promptly
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and supervision to junior procurement staff
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, or equivalent
- Certification: CIPS (Chartered Institute for Purchasing and Supply) or equivalent certifications would be an advantage
- Good working knowledge of the Procurement module in a recognized ERP Solution
- Take ownership of own objectives agreed upon and the objectives for subordinates
- Ensure visibility of achieved results and performance for the entire team of subordinates
