Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team. The HSE Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in compliance with company and government regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of HSE principles and the ability to effectively communicate and enforce these policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and best practices.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Provide HSE training to employees and contractors to raise awareness and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure compliance with relevant HSE regulations and standards.
  • Monitor and review HSE performance metrics and provide reports to management, highlighting areas of concern and recommending improvements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop appropriate control measures to minimize workplace hazards.
  • Stay up-to-date with HSE regulations and industry best practices, and proactively recommend changes to policies and procedures as needed.
Candidate Requirements
  • Proven work experience as an HSE Officer or similar role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Deep knowledge of local HSE regulations and international standards.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and safety management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and engage employees at all levels.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
  • Certification in relevant HSE qualifications, such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or ISO 45001, is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in using MS Office applications.
Skills Education

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
