What You’ll Do
The role of a Customer Service Representative is to provide our customers with outstanding service by taking ownership of their transactional or service requests and answering specific product queries. They also educate customers about HSBC self‑service devices and digital platforms, giving them choices for banking.
Responsibilities- Provide exceptional face‑to‑face customer service in a timely manner while working in a fast‑paced, busy branch environment and adhering to policies and procedures.
- Process a wide range of transactions while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
- Show excellent attention to detail.
- Support customers in using HSBC self‑service devices and alternative digital banking platforms.
- Collaborate with the branch team and actively seek to improve workflows and processes.
- Excellent communication skills enabling you to engage in effective conversations, build strong connections and show empathy.
- The ability to take ownership of customer enquiries through to resolution and pride yourself on exceeding expectations.
- Resilience in a continuously changing environment.
Full‑time, 35 hours a week:
Monday to Friday 09:00‑17:00 and Saturday 09:00‑13:30 (not all branches open Saturday). The position may require occasional support for nearby branches.
You’ll receive full in‑branch training over 8 days, split across two weeks. Attendance for the entire course is required, which means no holidays during that period.
What You’ll GetAttractive minimum starting salary of £24,000 based on 35 hours/week plus an annual discretionary performance bonus.
