Account Executive (New Business) – Jensten
We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Account Executive to join the Jensten Group team, mainly focusing on new business, generating new clients, building pipelines and increasing revenue from the existing client base. You will work with a range of insurance products, including Motor Fleet, Commercial Combined, Professional Liability and SMEs.
Reporting to the Branch Director, you will be based in the Kidderminster office with hybrid working flexibility, following up on leads/referrals provided by the company and developing new, efficient ways to increase quote volume.
Key Responsibilities- Offer and present insurance solutions, including policies and other risk‑management solutions, to secure new business.
- Identify and pursue cross‑selling, up‑selling and similar opportunities.
- Use all company‑provided leads and devise new ways to increase quote volume.
- Achieve or exceed agreed volume of quotes, sales and income generated from all marketing sources, including your own prospecting activity.
- Negotiate competitive terms with product and service providers to satisfy client requirements.
- Handle invoicing of all premiums, including effective credit control.
- Understand client business operations, opportunities and risks and provide tailored risk‑management advice.
- Ensure compliance with local procedures, customer‑service standards and external compliance regulations, e.g. FCA.
- Insurance background – especially in commercial insurance (essential).
- Proven success in new business income generation with passion for sales (essential).
- Great customer‑service and communication skills.
- Excellent telephone manner and ability to network and build relationships.
- Drive and genuine passion to learn and develop within insurance and sales.
- Acturis system knowledge (ideally).
