About the RoleThe Graduate Engineer will support the Dams, Reservoirs & Hydropower (DR&H) Market Segment Lead in the delivery of valve and hydromechanical gate projects across the UK water industry. This role provides hands‑on experience across technical engineering, commercial project support, and customer service, helping develop the next generation of engineering talent within Glenfield Invicta.
Key Responsibilities- Support the DR&H Market Segment Lead in delivering valve and hydromechanical gate projects.
- Assist with technical reviews, drawings, and tender documentation.
- Help prepare quotations and coordinate project documentation.
- Participate in site surveys and learn to use AutoCAD, Solid Works, and CFD analysis tools.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
- A supportive early careers programme with quarterly check‑ins, annual appraisals with your direct leader, as well as check‑ins with an Early Careers mentor to support your journey.
- Externally recognised development such as Insights Discovery profile reviews to define your learning style as well as role specific funded training.
- The opportunity to be a Graduate representative for our charity partner– Aquabox.
- Participation in an International LEAN training programme with the opportunity to travel to sites across Europe including France, Spain and Denmark over a 6‑month period.

- Leadership and individual development training such as Project Management, Decision Making, Presentation Skills, Communication and others.

- A degree in Mechanical, Civil, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
- Familiarity with CAD tools is a plus.
