What You Will Do
  • Contribute and deliver a comprehensive Primary Care Service within HMP Kilmarnock.
  • Provide safe, effective, person‑centred care and support patients in managing long‑term conditions, including delivery of palliative care.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and triage minor illnesses/injuries officially.
  • Deliver health promotion advice and administer medication.
  • Work as part of an extensive multidisciplinary team within the Health Centre in partnership with General Practitioners, Mental Health and Addiction Service.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to caring for patients who have experienced significant trauma within a secure environment.
  • Apply current thinking in primary and emergency care and respond positively to change.
  • Operate autonomously and as part of a team with innovative, enthusiastic and flexible approach.
Knowledge, Training and Experience Required
  • Registered Adult Nurse qualification and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Minimum degree level education or relevant clinical experience.
Hours

37 hours per week.
