Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Macmillan Advanced Clinical Nurse – Breast within our Cancer Services Department based at University Hospital Crosshouse.

Hours And Shift Pattern
18 hours per week – days to suit the service and the preferred candidate. This post is offered on a permanent basis.

What You Will Do
The Macmillan Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist (ACNS) provides holistic care and support to patients and their families with breast cancers. Specialist nursing advice and care is given throughout the patient pathway (diagnosis, surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and end of life). The ACNS acts as a key worker and a core member of the multidisciplinary team, offering an exciting development opportunity for a nurse seeking to further develop skills, experience and career.

Knowledge, Training and/or Experience Required
The applicant must be a registered nurse with considerable cancer experience and possess a relevant post‑graduate diploma or equivalent. Advanced clinical decision‑making, strong communication skills and a passion for quality improvement are essential.

Driving Licence
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.
