Position: Healthcare Security Guard - Full-Time - Extra Rounds
Site: Kingston General Hospital (KGH) - 76 Stuart
Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Hours: Monday to Friday, /
Payrate: $22.61/hour

• Present a smart, visible, and alert security presence
• Greet, assist, and direct visitors
• Ensure safety & security of clients, buildings, and assets
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Conduct interior & exterior patrols
• Respond to emergencies and assist as needed
• Document and report security events
• Investigate incidents
• Perform patient watches
• Enforce parking & smoking bylaws
• Enforce hospital policies
• Control access and key management
• Conduct monthly safety inspections
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C
• Ability to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test (clean shaven)
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum double dose)
• Immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, TB tests)
• Ability to pass Vulnerable Sector Check
• Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience preferred
• Minimum 6 months non-healthcare security experience preferred
• Full-time availability for at least 6 months
• English proficiency (spoken & written); bilingualism an asset
• Customer service experience an asset
• Certifications in Stay Safe (or willingness to obtain through Paladin)
