Anaesthetic Nurse / Operating Department Practitioner (ODP)
Join Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust as an Anaesthetic Nurse / ODP in our dynamic Main Theatres and Day Surgery department. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering cutting‑edge care across a wide range of specialties, including urology, general surgery, upper GI, breast, gynaecology, paediatrics, ENT, oral, plastic, ophthalmology, trauma & orthopaedics, CEPOD, robotics and bariatric surgeries.
Theatre Facilities- 12 theatres: 8 in the main theatre, 4 in Day Surgery Unit, plus support for 2 maternity theatres and IVF.

You must be a Registered ODP (operating Department practitioner) with HCPC or an RN holding a recognised anaesthetic qualification.
Main Duties- Clinical Care: Provide high‑quality patient care under supervision, implement basic and complex healthcare practices, ensure safe techniques, document care accurately, and contribute to multidisciplinary decision‑making.
- Communication & Teamwork: Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and colleagues; report incidents; support team discussions.
- Management & Leadership: Allocate resources, delegate tasks to junior staff, support peers through preceptorship, contribute to policy development and quality audits, and promote evidence‑based practice.
- Governance: Maintain high standards of clinical care, keep patients informed, identify risks, and update clinical skills through professional development.
- Education & Training: Identify personal development needs, participate in training, and adhere to health and safety policies.
