Purpose of the RoleStock Control is critical to our retail success. Reporting to the Head of Logistics, the Stock Control Coordinator will maintain high accuracy, challenge stock figures, and collaborate with Finance, Stores and Logistics teams. The role is the first point of contact for all Logistics Helpdesk queries, providing professional and efficient support.
Responsibilities- Single point of contact for all Stock Control issues with stores, responding within 48 hours.
- Actively review store stock control processes to improve efficiency.
- Support Retail teams with End‑of‑Month reports and stock adjustment analysis.
- Build relationships with Head Office Departments, Retail Ops, IT, and Finance.
- Monitor stock files through systems, ensuring processes work correctly and engaging IT and Retail Ops as needed.
- Manage store stock‑take schedule with Retail Ops and external partners.
- Prepare systems and stores for stock‑takes and manage the process through systems.
- Liaise with Retail Ops to improve process and stock accuracy.
- Investigate discrepancies and provide resolutions.
- Maintain regular contact with stores and carry out stock transfers as necessary.
- Analyse stock‑take results and share findings with suggestions for improvement.
- Produce regular and ad‑hoc reports and analyse data.
- Carry out regular stock analysis to identify issues and correct them.
- Support the department with any ad‑hoc duties as required.
Essential
- Strong numerical skills.
- Good Microsoft Excel and IT skills.
- Understanding of the principles of distribution and stock management.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working within an ERP system.
- Experience creating and using reports.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Capable of working to tight deadlines.
- Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure.
- Dedicated and responsible approach to the role.
- Ability to work independently and within a small team.
Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX.
- Graduate level or retail background at supervisory level.
