American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for an Emergency Department ED Holds role requiring tele experience and TX or compact RN licensure.
Details- Emergency Department (ED Holds) unit within a hospital setting
- 28-bed unit staffed with 31 team members including charge nurses, RNs, and techs
- Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 6 RNs, and 2 techs; night shift staffing is the same
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Uses telemetry equipment for patient monitoring
- Meditech EMR used; prior recent experience preferred
- 13-week assignment with 7A-7P shift schedule
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- TNCC certification required for ER placement
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- Phlebotomy skills required
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Recent Meditech experience preferred
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
- One professional reference required
- Provide direct patient care to ED hold patients requiring telemetry monitoring
- Work alongside a dedicated team of charge nurses, RNs, and techs across day and night shifts
- Scrub color preference is royal blue; navy or dark green also allowed
- Shoes must be black, white, or gray
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate; no local candidates accepted
