Production Supervisor

Location: Kirkby in Ashfield

Personnel Solutions is seeking a proactive and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily production operations for our client in Kirkby. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a thorough understanding of production processes. This role is vital in ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining safety standards, and fostering a productive team environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising staff, coordinating production activities, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to meet organisational goals.

- 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm rotation

Monday to Friday

£15ph rising to £17ph after probation (12 weeks)

Duties

* Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing processes.

* Monitor daily operations to uphold quality standards and safety regulations.

* Organise work schedules, assign tasks, and oversee the utilisation of resources including machinery and labour.

* Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.

* Assist with training new team members on operational procedures, safety protocols, and the use of hand and power tools.

* Collaborate with maintenance teams to schedule repairs or upgrades for machinery.

* Analyse production data to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.

* Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, and safety incidents for reporting purposes.

* Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, motivation, and conflict resolution.

Requirements

* Proven experience in a supervisory role within a production environment

* Some mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand machinery operation and troubleshooting.

* Familiarity with quality control procedures.

* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

* Good communication skills to lead teams effectively and liaise with other departments.

* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
