Junior IT Support Analyst

Clarke Energy is hiring a Junior IT Support Analyst to join our dynamic IT team, supporting users across the UK and internationally. Based in Knowsley, this is your opportunity to kick‑start your IT career with a global engineering company driving the energy transition.

What You'll Be Responsible For
  • Provide responsive support to users via phone, email, and in‑person.
  • Diagnose and resolve desktop and laptop issues, including off‑site repair.
  • Build, configure, and test workstations, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Support remote users with mobile connectivity and VPN access.
  • Manage new starter setups and leaver procedures.
  • Ensure backups of laptops, desktops, and personal folders are maintained.
  • Maintain and deploy Group Standard Operating Environments using Windows Deployment Service.
  • Assist with LAN, WAN, and VPN connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Update and maintain the IT asset register.
  • Document IT processes and user guides clearly and accurately.
  • Administer and repair mobile communication devices.
  • Support IT equipment purchasing during staff holidays.
  • Uphold Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards in all work.
  • Keep work spaces clean, organised, and secure.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
  • Degree in IT or a closely related subject.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience on an IT Helpdesk with strong customer‑service focus.
  • Understanding of PC builds, rebuilds, and configuration.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft products and PC hardware setup.
  • Strong communication skills—clear, helpful, and user‑friendly.
  • Ability to stay calm and effective under pressure.
  • Logical problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management.
  • Willingness to take initiative and responsibility.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Microsoft certification (e.g., MTA, MCP, or equivalent) – desirable.
