Position: Electrical Design Engineer (Contract)
Electrical Design Engineer (EPLAN) – Control Panels / Documentation
Contract (Outside IR35)

Contract Details:

* Rate: £45–£50 per hour (Outside IR35)

* Length: 6 months (likely extension)

* Location:

Office-based 3–4 days per week (hybrid)

* Start: ASAP / Immediate start available

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with strong EPLAN skills to support a control panel and automation project. This is a 6-month contract, outside IR35, with a competitive hourly rate and strong extension potential.

Key Responsibilities:

* Electrical design using EPLAN (P8 preferred)

* Producing control panel electrical schematics and drawings

* Creating and updating electrical documentation packs

* Generating BOMs, cable schedules, I/O lists and related documentation

* Supporting engineering changes through build and commissioning stages

* Working closely with panel build teams and project engineers

* Ensuring all work meets relevant standards and customer requirements

Essential Skills /

Experience:

* Strong background as an Electrical Design Engineer (industrial / automation / panel design)

* Good working knowledge of EPLAN (P8 ideal)

* Control panel design and electrical documentation experience

* Ability to work in the office 3–4 days per week

* Strong communication skills and ability to work in a project team environment
