Role Summary
Provide patient-centered nursing care in a cardiovascular step-down unit, including pre- and post-operative support. Assess patients and deliver individualized care plans, ensuring safety and quality throughout the perioperative period.
Key Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments and monitor clinical status continuously.
- Recognize and report changes in condition to medical providers promptly.
- Perform ordered procedures and nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and monitor patient response and tolerance.
- Provide pre- and post-operative nursing care as part of coordinated treatment.
- Document nursing care accurately and maintain complete clinical records.
- Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to support effective patient outcomes.
- Current nursing license and strong clinical assessment skills.
- Proficiency in perioperative and cardiovascular patient care.
- Ability to administer medications safely and monitor responses.
- Strong communication skills for timely escalation of patient changes.
- Accurate documentation and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
