We are working for a specialist engineering company for a Mechanical Assembler/Fitter on a full-time permanent basis, based onsite on the Powys/Herefordshire border. You will work within a small engineering team producing complex, high-quality mechanical equipment for specialist applications.
What You Can Expect
* Full-time, permanent employment basis
* A site-based role located in Mid Wales, commutable from surrounding areas across Powys, Shropshire and Herefordshire.
* Salary:
Competitive based on experience
* Working hours of 39 hours per week - Monday to Thursday: 08:00–17:00 and Friday 08:00–16:00

What You Will Be Doing
* Assembling complex mechanical equipment to a high standard of quality and safety.
* Working from engineering drawings and standardised work instructions to ensure accurate build and fit.
* Installing and integrating hydraulic systems as part of mechanical assemblies.
* Supporting mechanical build activities across a range of bespoke products.
* Ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely, and in line with internal quality standards.
* Collaborating closely with colleagues to meet production schedules and delivery targets.
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment at all times.
What We Are Looking For
* Proven experience in mechanical fitting or mechanical assembly within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
* A strong background in vehicle mechanics and/or mechanical engineering.
* Excellent working knowledge of hydraulic systems.
* Basic knowledge of electrical systems would be advantageous, with training available where required.
* Ability to interpret and work accurately from engineering drawings.
* A methodical, safety-conscious approach to hands-on mechanical work.
* A team-oriented individual who takes pride in delivering high-quality output.
* Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom and the ability to reliably commute to the site location.
